IMPORTANT: TSA Prior to Arrival
The Transportation Security Administration has mandates for US flight training.
Review TSA requirements CAREFULLY. Required documentation must be submitted and processed before flight training. Failure to follow TSA procedures EXACTLY as outlined will result in unnecessary delays.
US CITIZENS need only show proof of US citizenship to the school with a document such as a passport or birth certificate. No other screening required.
NON-US CITIZENS must first verify their country of origin and complete fingerprinting and photo ID process with TSA. See Alien Flight Student Program
Once approved for flight training by TSA, you must then begin the process of obtaining a type M-1 (foreign exchange student vocational training) VISA. This process begins by contacting Hawaii Flight Academy and talking with our Designated School Official.
